ESN Introduction week

Definitely the best way to start off your time in Groningen is the ESN Introduction week. It is a fantastic way to meet Dutch and international students, get to know your way around Groningen, learn everything about the transport (even how to ride a bike!), find out where the best bars and clubs are, learn about Dutch history, watch a comedy act.. and many, many more!

Several introduction guides will lead you around Groningen. You'll find out the meaning behind place names in Groningen such as: 'Poelestraat', 'Grote markt' and the 'USVA'! You'll also learn a little bit Dutch, for example how to order a beer: "Biertje."

There will be a day filled with workshops, with options ranging from a lesson in Dutch history, learning how to ride a bike, a drama class and many other workshops. You'll also have a chance to visit the Groninger Museum and view the current exhibition there or to go to the ACLO and play some sports. Next to the daily activities there will be plenty of chance to discover Groningen at night.

All in all, the ESN introduction week is an event that you do not want to miss.

The next introduction week will be February 3rd until February 8th, signups will be at the welcoming ceremony for new international students!
