ESN Awards 2024

We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you all! As part of the wider Erasmus Student Network (ESN) family spread across Europe, ESN Groningen had the honor of participating in the annual award ceremony during the Erasmus Generation Meeting.

This event took place last weekend, in the vibrant city of Seville, Spain. Bringing together over 1300 Erasmus+ alumni, internationally-minded young individuals, and key stakeholders in the field of international mobility and higher education, the ceremony served as a celebration of achievements and contributions within the ESN community.

Culture Award

We’re thrilled to share that ESN Groningen has secured 1st place in the Culture Award category of ESN International! This award recognizes the outstanding efforts of our team and volunteers in fostering intercultural competence and understanding.

Culture Day, a highlight of our Introduction Week, brings together incoming international students to celebrate the diverse cultural landscape of Groningen. Through interactive workshops and activities, we aimed to create an inclusive space where students can engage with cultures worldwide while embracing their new home city.

Our heartfelt thanks go to all the student associations and organizations who collaborated with us to make Culture Day a success. Your support has been invaluable in creating a vibrant and welcoming community for our international students.

Social Impact Award

To continue the happiness we’re delighted to announce that ESN Groningen has acquired 2nd place in the Social Impact Award category! This recognition highlights our significant strides in promoting social inclusion and making a positive difference in our community.

The recent iteration of Social Impact Week, held just two weeks ago, underscored our commitment to fostering real, positive change within both our student body and (student) society at large. Throughout the week, we dedicated each day to one of ESN’s six causes and as you experienced, it was a blast!
